More Information:

We The People Tigard Area is organizing a NO KINGS 3 Protest in Tigard.

This peaceful and accessible social action event takes place, Saturday, March 28th, at Universal Plaza, in downtown Tigard, Oregon and along HYW 99W.

We will line the sidewalks of 99W from Main Street, Tigard, all the way to Durham Road! This is a chance to show support for the constitution, the rule of law, and be in solidarity with others who fear the rise of authoritarianism in our country today. (continued below)

Mary M: "Our democracy is dying before our eyes. Your silence will not save you. We must stand up and resist this abuse of power!"

Thousands of local residents will have the chance to be seen and heard on March 28th, as We The People Tigard Area, host a rally in Universal Plaza, in downtown Tigard. There will be music and speakers, as well as sign making materials in the Plaza.

We are excited to announce our featured speakers:  Representative Andrea Salinas,  Secretary of State Tobias Read, and Amy Wiley, from Tigard High School. Then, those who wish, can head up Main Street with their homemade signs, costumes, and chants, to line the sidewalks along HWY 99W to share their concerns with each other and the greater Tigard area.

Claire L:  "I have grandchildren. If we don't stand up our rights, we will lose them, for ourselves and the generations to come.  The rule of law is what stands between us and tyranny."

What makes this NO KINGS 3 Protest so accessible is that participants can join fellow protestors on the sidewalks anywhere along HWY 99W that is convenient for them. If people live in the neighborhoods along 99W, just walk out the door and join friends and neighbors.

Free parking is available at the Tigard Methodist Church parking lot at Walnut Place (just off HWY 99) and B & B Print Source, 9040 SW Burnham St (next to the Plaza).

Information tables will be at the intersections of Main & 99W, Walnut & 99W, Gaarde & 99W, and Durham & 99W.

Here is a chance to build community, share concerns, and be part of this third day of national protest and resistance.

Join with millions of others across the country voice support for our democratic institutions and ideals!
